Free form post mapping plugin

Gravity Forms Custom Post Types is a free post mapping plugin for WordPress that’s an add-on for Gravity Forms. Like ActiveCampaign, AWeber, and Campaign Monitor, it provides GF with additional functionality. In this case, it lets you map the posts you create via forms to specific taxonomies and types, saving you the hassle of sorting it out after the article is already published.

You don’t only need to post to single taxonomies, as the plugin provides the option to tick several on a list. You’ll use the standard Gravity Forms user interface, with the additional options available on the screen. Should you place terms that aren’t on your database, it will add them to the taxonomy and post types for you.

Add custom posts types

If you’re running GF on your site to assist with publishing articles, Gravity Forms Custom Post Types adds more functionality to connect them to the taxonomy. You’ll see checkboxes or drop-down fields where you can select the appropriate post types, which will link when the article goes live. You’ll also have a visual representation of all the categories so it’s easier to decide where they should go.

Parent posts with drop-down options

When working with the drop-down fields, it’s best to select one of them as the parent post to differentiate it from the others. There’s an advanced tab in the settings that you can use after choosing the post type, which is where you’ll populate it with the selected category. After a new menu appears, you can indicate which is the parent.

Link posts to existing taxonomy

There’s a single-line field where users can add new posts to the existing taxonomy simply by inserting the post type. You’ll find an advanced user interface that makes the process easier, while also being easier on the eyes.

If anyone uses a term that doesn’t exist, Gravity Forms Custom Post Types will add it to the taxonomy for you instead of giving you an error. However, this means you may end up with terms that don’t belong there if you made a spelling mistake.

Enhance Gravity Forms with post types

Gravity Forms Custom Post Types is helpful in improving GF’s functionality by letting you add custom types to your taxonomy. It’s an excellent add-on for website owners that use forms to publish their posts.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
